How Virtual Services Work
Virtual By Design
At Virtually ConnectEd, we bring high-quality therapy and educational support directly to students through interactive, engaging, and effective virtual sessions. Our expert therapists and educators work closely with families and schools to ensure that each student receives personalized support tailored to their unique needs.

Virtual Speech Therapy
Our speech-language pathologists (SLPs) provide targeted interventions to support communication skills, including articulation, language development, fluency, and social communication. Sessions are highly interactive, using digital tools such as visual prompts, online games, and real-time feedback. Parents and caregivers may also be involved to reinforce skills between sessions.
A typical session includes:
-
Fun and engaging activities to practice speech sounds and language concepts
-
Real-time modeling and correction to improve targeted goals
-
Activities based on targeted goals such as: storytelling, conversation practice, articulation and vocabulary-building exercises
-
Interactive tools where students can use the mouse and keyboard to participate

Virtual Occupational Therapy (OT)
Our occupational therapists (OTs) focus on building fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-regulation, and daily life skills to help students succeed in both academic and home environments. Sessions are structured with engaging, hands-on activities adapted for the virtual setting.
A typical session includes:
-
Interactive movement-based activities to improve coordination and motor skills
-
Handwriting/keyboarding support through digital tools and guided practice
-
Sensory-friendly strategies to support self-regulation and attention
-
Parent/teacher coaching to integrate strategies into daily routines

Virtual Special Education (SPED) Services
Our special education teachers provide customized academic support, intervention strategies, and skill-building in reading, writing, math, and executive functioning. Using a structured and individualized approach, students receive one-on-one or small group instruction aligned with their learning goals.
A typical session includes:
-
Multi-sensory instruction using digital manipulatives and interactive whiteboards and activities
-
Explicit, structured lessons for reading and math (e.g., Orton-Gillingham, Wilson Fundations)
-
Executive function coaching to improve organization, task completion, and study skills
-
Collaboration with parents and schools to align services with classroom expectations
